I just finished watching the video forfeiting sanity and as a foster adoptive mom of a child with severe RAD I can't thank you enough for bring this needed information to the naive public.
We fight this dark battle every day alone and behind closed doors and support is very hard to find as there is just not enough out there with true experience. I saw myself in each of those moms and my heart and prayers goes out to them for their bravery of being transparent.
Our daughter is now 15 and is now living in a lock down residential treatment center . Her behavior escalated so much over the years that this became her only and last option for possible help. Time will tell she has spent a year in a RTC home before that and countless therapists ect.
It has destroyed much of our family and other children as we have spent the last 13 years trying to help her. Now we need to leave that to others and try and rebuild a life with our other children . We all now suffer from PTSD .
We are a work in progress!
Great job would love to see this used in trading for many agencies around the United States
Thank you so much for watching our film, and taking the time to respond! You are not alone! We're hoping this message will be passed on to those who need it, and those who could help. Blessings to you and your family as you continue the path to healing and recovery!

Thank you for your response I hope more film and documentaries can take this topic and explore the reality of getting successful treatment for children with this disorder. We feel God placed her in our family for a reason and maybe it took her abusing our grandson for us to get her the most intensive help available.its just unfortunate it has to come to a horrible incident before there is help, but the reality is the mental help in most states is sorely lacking.
